Aftermath With the Owl
After calling people for 30 minutes someone finally answered the phone. The lady on the phone just said to let it go. I thought, how in the world do you let a great horned owl go?! Most people just think, duh, just let it fly away. Its not that simple if you know what I mean. Also, if we were to hurt it, my mom would go to jail which I don't want that to happen. You would think that the owl would attack us but no, not this one. This one just wanted to be pet behind the ears. So, what do we do with it? Well it turns out that my mom had the guts to pick it up... my mind was racing with thoughts on how my mom could get hurt from this animal. I mean really, just look at the talons on that thing!

Its That Time of Year Again!
March means baby goats for farmers. We had our LaMancha (Gabby) bred with a Nubian buck last year. We also had out Nubian (Stormie) bred again last year. We did not breed our last kid (Charlotte) because we thought she is just to young to be bred. We are hoping for beautiful babies this March!
What babies are you waiting for this spring?

What! An Owl?!
I went outside one morning, thinking about what I normally think about when walking outside. I was feeding the animals and the goats were swarming around me as usual. I went into the barn and almost wet my pants. To my surprise, there was a HUGE owl tearing off flesh from our rooster.
We sat and gazed at each other until my heart started beating again. Then, I dashed inside and started at my mother for a couple seconds. I tried to blurt out the words from my mouth but I was busy catching up with my breath. I told my mom and we went back outside with out PJ's still on. The owl was still there, eating Mavis (our rooster). I slowly walked up to the owl and poked it with a stick, surprisingly, he did nothing but stare right into my eyes. Me and my mom did not know what to do with this owl. So, went went inside and started to call all these people. Finally a person answered and...

Can you guess how this story will end...?

Baby Chickens
These baby chickens we given to us from a good farm friend. Their breed is called a Silkie. Their feathers are almost like fur. They can be really friendly if you give them lots of TLC.
